The replication of experimental results is very important, as it checks the validity of the results. This is one reason why scientists publish their experimental findings in peer-reviewed journals. If experimental results published in a journal cannot be replicated by other researchers, then the validity of the original published results is called into question. If other researchers are able to obtain the same results as the published findings, then it lends credibility to the published experimental results. This peer review is part of the process of developing a hypothesis into a theory.
