Inertia can not be measured.

Explanation:

The best way I can put this is to look at friction. You can not calculate friction. Friction is just an idea. There is no mathematical definition for friction or inertia. The are both concepts. You can however calculate the Inertia Moment. Kind of like how you can calculate the force of friction or the coefficient of friction.
