Alright, the first step here is we see that there are two negatives together (next to each other). From a theorem, we know that this also means that these two numbers are equal

#-2-(-16)=-2+16#

Now this becomes a relatively simple question. We cant forget the "#-#" sign in front of the #2# though!

#-2+16=14#
