See my friend firstly you must know....what is Newton's first law of motion..!!
It states that "A BODY TENDS TO BE IN IT'S MOTION UNLESS AND UNTIL AN EXTERNAL FORCE IS APPLIED TO HINDER IT'S MOTION(Property of Inertia)".

  • So when u have a football on the ground it stays at it's position until you kick it...(This follows property of inertia ,because the ball stays at it's position)
  • As you kick it you apply a force to it..and....
  • The ball moves in the particular direction..(This also follows property of inertia )
  • And the ball continues in its position until there is a force applied to stop it...otherwise the ball would have moved in it's direction for infinite time....!!
