What is it? The force the comes from the pressure exerted on a submerged object. The buoyant force acts in the upward direction , against gravity, making things feel lighter.

How is it caused? Caused by pressure, when the pressure of the fluid increases with depth, the buoyant force is greater than the weight of the object.
