The Heisenberg Uncertainty principle is part of the basis of quantum mechanics. It is the statement that it is not possible to know both the location and vectors of an electron.

Explanation:

The Heisenberg Uncertainty principle states that if an effort is made to locate the location of an electron the energy used to locate the location of the electron changes the velocity and the direction of the motion of the electron.

So what is uncertain is that both the location and vectors of an electron can not be both known at the same time.
