The mass of glucose is 4.0 % of the total mass. The mass of water is 200. g – the mass of glucose.

mass of glucose = 200. g soln × #(4.0" g glucose")/(100" g soln")# = 8.0 g glucose.

mass of water = mass of soln – mass of glucose = (200. – 8.0) g = 192 g.
