There is no easy way, it requires hard work.

Step 1. Get out your textbook, go to the examples that are in the chapter you are studying. Read through and "do" the examples. By this I mean copy the whole example down on a piece of paper as if you were doing the problem for homework. Think about the question; what is it asking and what are they doing to solve the problem.

Step 2. Now put your paper aside and redo the example problem again. This time cover up the solution in the textbook and do the problem without looking at the solution. Once again…think about the question; what is it asking and what am I doing to solve the problem. Of course you can look at the solution if you get stuck.

Repeat until you can do the problem without looking.

Step 3. Try some of the simple problems from the textbook.

Step 4. Go to YouTube and repeat the process above….practice makes perfect. (Übungen macht den Meister)
