Cross breeding is different types of a certain species, hybrid is a mix of species.

Cross breeding is common such as the use in dogs as different types(breed) are reproduced to have a dog with certain characteristics. such as a chusky which is a cross breed of a chow chow and a husky.

Hybridisation is where two different species are bred together to create a new species such as a Cama which occurs when a camel and a lama reproduce together. Hybridisation can occur naturally and can be made in a laboratory. going back to the Cama it was created to make a species which had the size and strength of a camel but had an easier temperament and higher wool production of a lama.
