How do I graph the complex number #3+4i# in the complex plane?

Basically to graph a complex number you use the numerical coefficients as coordenates on the complex plane.
Remember to use the horizontal axis to plot the REAL part and the vertical one to plot the coeficient of the immaginary part (the number with #i#).

So, for a general complex number, #z=a+ib# you have the following graph:

In your case, where the number is given as: #z=3+4i#, you get:

Now you can try by yourself by inventing complex numbers and plotting them in various quadrants on the complex plane.
