Benzene has one set of six equivalent hydrogens.
One way to identify equivalent hydrogens is to replace each H with a different group and see if you get a different compound.
The structure of benzene is
If I replace any of the six H atoms with a Cl, I'll always get the same compound: chlorobenzene.
So every H atom in benzene is equivalent to every other H atom.
