Since a protein concentration of 1 mg/ml has an absorbance of 0.65, the absorbance of the sample gives a protein concentration of 0.355 mg/ml, e.g. of 0.355 ug/ul. 2/3 of 15 ul are loaded on the gel, therefore 3.55 ug is the final mass of protein loaded
