we are given, 3#x^3# #+# 2#x^2# #+ #3#x# #+# 2

on rearrangement:

#=# 3#x^3# #+# 3#x# #+# 2#x^2# #+# 2

The first two terms have 3#x# in common and the last two terms have 2 in common:

taking out the common terms:
#=# 3#x# ( #x^2# + 1) #+# 2 ( #x^2# #+# 1)

making groups of two:
#=# (3 #x# #+# 2) ( #x^2# #+# 1 )
