I will assume that this equation describes a line that you want in standard slope intercept form:

#y = mx+c#

...where m is the slope and c is the intercept.

First subtract #7# from both sides of your equation, then expand and rearrange as follows:

#y = 2(x+5)-7#

#= (2xxx)+(2xx5)-7#

#= 2x+10-7#

#= 2x+3#

#y = 2x+3# is in the standard slope intercept form,

with slope #m = 2# and intercept #c = 3#.
