How can I can stop Mathjax text from overlapping normal text in the comments section?

I would say be careful with your formatting.

If you have two hashtags, one in the beginning of a quoted sentence (with quotation marks) and the other at the end, this is what it appears:

# "You can see that the sentence you are writing is affected by the hashtag."#

Remove the hashtags and this happens:

"You can see that the sentence you are writing is affected by the hashtag."

This is a feature where you can make words have the same font as equations. To have it stop overlapping the normal text, either remove the hashtags or end another hashtag at the end of a quoted sentence.

Watch out for equations too. If you want to quote an equation, put your hashtags inside the quotation marks and not outside; for example, do "#y=x^2#" rather than #"y=x^2"#.

Hopefully, this helps solve your problem.
