Call your starting integer `n`:
`n+(n+1)+(n+2)=240`
`3n+3=240`
`3n=237`
`n=79`
So your integers are:
`79+80+81=192`

When `n > 0`

`n^2 < n(n+1) < (n+1)^2`

`15^2 = 225` and `16^2 = 256`

So try `15xx16 = 240` - yes

The other solution is `-16` and `-15`
