An Eon is not a set time.
Explanation:
In those areas of science that need extremely long time frames (geology, astronomy, etc.) they use the term Eon or Aeon. Eons are usually based on significant events, like the time from when the Earth cooled until the first life on Earth so we are talking hundreds of millions to over a billion years.
