This can be solved using The Remainder Theorem of synthetic division which is explained very well here.

Explanation:

In this case we would just do synthetic division using the value #sqrt(3)# and the value of #f(x)# at that x value will be the remainder, #r(x)#.

I am not too sure how to show the synthetic division step by step on here so that link should prove very useful.

In this case if you did everything right, #q(x)# should equal #2x^3 + 2sqrt3x^2# and the most important part, #r(x)#, should equal #5#.
