Are the ureters capable of peristalsis like that which occurs in the gastrointestinal tract?

Yes ureters do show peristaltic movement due to presence of Transitional epithelium in them
Cells of Transitional epithelium can contract and relax , due to which peristalsis occurs.
Peristalsis in ureter help in movement of urine though them into the urinary bladder.
