Why is inflammation beneficial for an injury site?

At the site of pathogenic attach , the ruptured cells releases certain chemicals which attract the mast cells.
Mast cells release Histamine which is vaso dialator means it will enlarge the blood vessels so as to bring more wbc , macrophages and other antibodies along with the blood to fight against the pathogen.
Inflammation is characterized by Redness , Local heat . pain and swelling.
