The liver is responsible for maintaining the level of glucose in the blood and the temperature of the body

Explanation:

Homeostasis means keeping the internal environment constant.

This is done via keeping the physical and chemical factors as constant as possible.

In case the level glucose gets high in the blood, the liver stores it in the form of glycogen. This conversion of glucose is done by the hormone insulin.

In case the level of glucose gets low, the liver converts some of the glycogen into glucose. This conversion of glycogen is done by the hormone glucagon .

Thus, the liver responds to insulin and glucagon (which come from the pancreas) to keep the level of glucose in the blood constant.

Regarding temperature, many metabolic processes take place in the liver all the time, and the heat generated by them is taken by the blood around the body to help in maintaining the desired temperature.
