What is the main difference in the light we see from the planets and the light we see from the stars?

The light we see from other planets is the light that they have reflected to the Earth from the Sun.

Explanation:

As planets don't give out light, we see them when they reflect light from the Sun. On the other hand, the light we see from stars is light-years away and takes a while to reach us and it is the light we see that the stars emitted.
