How are polyps and medusas different?

Put simply, polyps are nonmotile (non-moving), sessile (attached to a substratum) organisms like sea anemone and corals while medusae are free-swimming organisms like jellyfishes. Both are body forms of organisms within the Phylum Cnidaria.
