Explanation:
Begin with the three final points and work backwards. A reflection on the x-axis takes a coordinate point, ( x , y) and changes it to the point ( x , - y). So the three final points, ( -4, -4) , (-2,-4) and (-3,-1), reflected back on the x-axis must have been located at: ( -4, 4) ,
(-2 , 4) and (-3, 1). Next, a 180 degree rotation takes the point ( x , y ) and it becomes ( -x , - y). So our three points (-4 ,4 ) , (-2, 4 ) and (-3, 1) are rotated to ( 4, -4) , (2 ,-4) and (3 ,-1) which are the original coordinates of the triangle.
