Eliminating plaque is not as simple as eating the right foods but also backing it up with a healthy lifestyle. Exercise for at least 30 minutes 3-4x a week to help dissolve the plaque. Try to quit, if not, reduce smoking as much as possible. Avoid regularly eating high sodium and cholesterol foods from fast food joints or pizza parlors.

For foods that reduce plaque build up, eating fish is the way to go because it is rich in omega 3 which help lower cholesterol. One must also eat vegetables like broccoli and spinach. Other foods which can reduce plaque are cinnamon, coffee (limit intake to 8 oz. per day), watermelons, coconut oil and olive oil.
