nuclear fusion is a nuclear reaction in which two or more atomic nuclei come very close and then collide at a very high speed and join to form a new nucleus.Fusion takes place only in the sun .At the moment there is no application for it because to perform fusion temperature nearly in millions is needed.
nuclear fission is a radioactive decay process in which the nucleus of an atom splits into smaller parts .Its application is that it is used in producing electricity.Uranium 235 is mainly used .Its nucleus is bombarded with neutrons and it produces a chain reaction which releases immense amounts of energy which convert water into steam and this turns the turbines and these are connected to generators which produce electricity.
