How did Julius Caesar's rule lead to the end of the Roman Republic?

1 Answer

By causing a Domino effect.

Explanation:

Since the senate thought that Caesar was a danger to the Republic they murdered him, which in turn led to Octavian (Augustus) to get all of Caesar's veteran army, chase the people who killed his uncle (Battle of Phillipi and Actium), which then left Octavian with no opposition, and then proceeded to declare himself ruler of the Empire and thus Augustus.
