Note there is no "pretty" version of this solution.

As an alternate expression:
#color(white)("XXX")x^4=8#

#color(white)("XXX")rarr x^2=sqrt(8)=2sqrt(2)#

#color(white)("XXX")rarr x=+-sqrt(2sqrt(2))#

...but this is really just the same as #root(4)(8)#
