Slope is #4/5#

Explanation:

The #y# is on a different side of = to the #x#

So the signs are as they should be. All we have to do is change #5y# to just #y#. Then the coefficient of #x# is the slope.

Compare to #y=mx+c# where #m# is the slope (gradient).
'~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Divide both sides by 5 giving:

#4/5x=y+1/5" " =>" " m=4/5 ->" gradient"#
'~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you wish to completely convert the given into standard form:

Given #4/5x=y+1/5#

Subtract #1/5# from both sides

#y=45x-1/5#
