Explanation:
Bacterial organisms get attacked by viral particles. To destroy viral DNA, bacteria possess RESTRICTION ENDONUCLEASE enzymes, which means the enzyme digests nucleic acid. Such enzymes do not act randomly, but cut the DNA only at restricted sites. such sites are short palindromic sequences on DNA.
