What are the three needs in the three-needs theory?

1 Answer

Achievement, power, affiliation

Explanation:

Need Theory was proposed by David McClelland in the 1960s. It states that workers in the workplace are motivated by at least one of these needs: achievement, power, and affiliation. Each kind of need brings about its own kind of situation where a worker will be most successful and also what kinds of rewards they will seek. For example, people in upper management of corporations tend to have a high need for power and a low need for affiliation.
