Primordial nucleosynthesis produced some of the lighter elements.

Explanation:

Primordial nucleosynthesis is also known as Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. It is thought to have occurred within the first 20 minutes after the Big Bang. Just after the Big Bang the only element was Hydrogen. During Nucleosynthesis the main element produced was Helium-4. Smaller quantities of Deuterium, Helium-3, Lithium and Beryllium were also produced.

All elements heavier than Beryllium were produced in stars much later.
