As the equation #y=x+2# is already in slope intercept form, its slope is #1# (coefficient of #x#).

Slopes of two parallel lines are equal and hence slope of line parallel to #y=x+2# is also #1#.

Now equation of line passing through #(x_1,y_1)# having a slope #m# is

#(y-y_1)=m(x-x_1)#

Hence equation of line passing through #(-3,-2)# and slope #1# is

#(y-(-2))=1×(x-(-3))# or

#y+2=x+3# or #y=x+1# in slope intercept form.
