Explanation:

Start with the standard graph of #sin(theta)#

If we replace #theta# with #(x=pi/4)# then the graph will shift to the right (so, for example #sin(theta=0) rarr sin((x-pi/4)=0)#)

Subtracting #1# from #sin(x-pi/4)# will cause all the data points to drop down #1# unit.
