The quantity of oxygen is 20.95% in the atmosphere, which is maintained by oxygen cycle. The oxygen cycle is simple. The released oxygen from the photosynthesis is transferred to the higher trophic levels as starch, sugar, and food carbohydrate. The food carbohydrate is respired by the help of oxygen and release energy. It combines other elements like nitrogen, sulphur and maintains other cycles. So, we can conclude that oxygen cycle is important for maintaining different chemicals in the atmosphere.
