Alarm Stage - Where the body labels a stressor as danger. This would be the body's fight or flight stage. Your adrenaline would be through the roof with this one.

Resistance Stage - The part where your adrenaline is weak in defenses and needs some energy to repair any sort of damage the F or F would have caused you.

Think of this like you were in a sword fight. Now your body is on-guard about being cut and would fight continuously if need be.

Exhaustion Stage - Last and final stage, this is the bit where your body can't combat the stressor anymore because you haven't got anymore energy, so the body is simply on the brink of burnout / stress overload.
