Yes and no.
Explanation:
In one sense, it cannot help but time travel - it is always travelling into the future. The speed at which it does so is relative to the observer and affected by relative motion (Special Relativity) and/or gravity (General Relativity).
It seems not to be possible for an atom to travel backward in time, which would violate several basic assumptions about causality.
