Diffusion is the natural movement of molecules and particles from a high concentration to a low concentration.

Explanation:

Diffusion allows the high concentration of Oxygen in the lungs to move spontaneously to the low concentration in the blood.

Diffusion is part of the 2nd law of thermodynamics that everything in the universe moves from order to disorder. A high concentration has more order, a low concentration has more entropy or disorder.
