How do you get nominated for an Oscar?

They are available on the oscars.org website. Rules vary but you have to be a member of the Academy to nominate or vote.
Explanation:
Membership in the Academy is by sponsorship. You must be sponsored by 2 other actual Academy Members to become a member. A sponsor can only sponsor 1 potential member once a year. The sponsored person must be working in the Industry.
All eligible films must be shown in a Theater in Los Angeles County, USA. for at least a week, at least 3 times a day and have at least 1 evening showing per day.
