The equation

#3/((y-3)(y+3))+4/(y+3)=1# can be solved first by multiplying both equation sides by #y+3#. After that we obtain

#3/(y-3)+4=(y+3)#

multiplying both sides by #(y-3)# we obtain

#3+4(y-3)=y^2-9# or

#y^2-4y=0# or

#y(y-4)=0# giving the solutions

#y = 0# and #y=4#
