rationalise the denominator.

use this law:

to rationalise #5-sqrt(11)#, multiply it by #5+sqrt(11)#:

#5+sqrt(11)*5-sqrt(11) = 5^2 + (sqrt(11))^2#

#=25+11#

#=36#
