Let us consider flightless dung beetles which live in arid regions of South Africa. These isects specifically live and feed on dung of wild elephants and buffaloes.

Their survival entirely depends upon good number of elephants and buffaloes in their ecosystem.

Niche could be defined as an organism's address and occupation within an ecosystem. So a tree/ habitat could be occupied by birds of three or four different species but they will all have different feeding habit.

These birds can use different resources from the same ecosystem which help in sustaining their coexistence within a biological community. In fact two different organisms can never occupy same niche.
