In 1936, the Axis was created, it was made of Italy, Germany and Japan. In Nov 6 1937 Germany and Italy signed an economic agreement. In May 22 1939 Italy and Germany signed a military alliance. It wasn't until Sept 27 1940 that Japan signed a military alliance with Germany and Italy.
