Divide both sides by 8

Explanation:

The equation after dividing by 8 becomes
#x^2+10x+24=0#

Now, by mid-term factorisation, we get- #x^2+6x+4x+24=0#

#x(x+6)+4(x+6)=0#

#(x+6)(x+4)=0#

#x+6=0# or #x+4=0#

#x=-6# or #x=-4#
