it depends on the meaning of density.

Explanation:

if the meaning of density here it the amount or concentration of something, then yes it does matter. as osmosis is the process by which a liquid moves through a semi permeable membrane, from high to low concentrations, so if the density(concentration) increases then the process of osmosis would slow down or may even stop.
