How do you factor the trinomial #p^2 + p -12#?

I am using another question and answer as an example for this, sorry if it's not understandable. BTW, the answer is #(p−3)(p+4)#

How do you factor 4p²+4p+1?
Its just an example. But for this case, the two on the right are gonna be #4# and #-3# because the two on the left have to be multiplied together in order to get #-12# and on the two on the left are gonna be both #p#'s. I hope this helps you!
