Determine the possible values of the function.In this case, we get:

#"D":{x inRR}#
#"R":{y inRR}#

Explanation:

The domain and range are sets of values that the #x# and #y#-values of the function can be.

It includes all possible values.

Immediately, I noticed that the function is linear - a degree of #1# on the variable.

Linear functions do not have a restriction to their values, unless given context.

As a result, we get a domain and range of:

#"D":{x inRR}#
#"R":{y inRR}#

If we were to graph the equation, we would have the possibility for all the values to be the domain/range (just not at the same).

graph{x-7 [-10, 10, -5, 5]}

As you can see, if you zoom out, the function has a possibility to have any value.

Hope this helps :)
