Well according the Newton First Law, which states that a body tends to be at rest, except acted by an External Force and moves (Motion) in the direction of the force..

In the first law, the relationship is very clear, meaning that if there is no force (external force) their won't be any motion, it will just be at rest, in same position it was left..
