#cosecx -= 1/sinx#

Now, #sin^2x + cos^2x -= 1#

i.e. #sin^2x -= 1 - cos^2x#

=> #sin^2x = 1 - p^2#

so, #sinx = +-sqrt(1 - p^2)#

As x is in quadrant IV, sinx is negative

Hence, #sinx = -sqrt(1 - p^2)#

Then, #cosecx = -1/sqrt(1 - p^2)#
