The primary "Elements" used in nuclear power production are Uranium and Plutonium.

Explanation:

The nuclear reactions (decay of the radioactive isotopes) themselves only provide heat energy. That is transferred to water to form steam, which then drives standard steam turbine electrical generators.

So, even our "nuclear power" really depends on steam power! Not much has really changed in the physics of power generation over the century...
